This is the first time I have ever done this. So, if my various ramblings seem weird or out of line with what you normally see in a blog, tough.

Now that that's out of the way, I suppose I should explain where I came up with the name of this blog. I could say that I was just looking for something that didn't limit my subject matter too much, yet still reflected my basic personality. Well, let's see: I am almost 40 years old, so that takes care of the mid-life part. There are a lot of things that I don't understand that frustrate me. Of course, there are a lot of things that I do understand that frustrate me, too. That would be where the angst part comes in.

So, as long as we understand where I'm coming from, the rest of the journey should explain itself. We'll see what happens as I go along. Perhaps my ruminations will inspire others to do or say great things. Who knows, my words may one day go down in history with the giants of the literary world. Or not. We'll see.
